Getting started
Install Dash, connect a tool, run your first real task. About 5 minutes total.
1. Install Dash in Slack
Click Add Dash to Slack from dashpup.ai. Approve the OAuth scopes. Dash joins your workspace as a user with its own avatar.
Scopes Dash requests: chat:read, chat:write, channels:history, users:read, files:write, im:history.
2. Say hi
DM Dash. Dash will introduce itself, read your team channels for context (titles only, never private DMs), and ask which tools you'd like to connect first.
You: hey
Dash: Hey! I'm Dash. I'll spend a few minutes reading the team channel titles and checking what's installed. Back in ~5 with a quick intro and three ideas.

3. Connect a tool
Tell Dash which tool you want to connect. Dash sends you an OAuth link. Click, approve, done. No API keys.
You: @Dash connect HubSpot
Dash: On it. Connect HubSpot → (link expires in 10 minutes)

4. Run your first real task
Once a tool is connected, ask Dash to do real work. A few starters:
- @Dash pull last week's pipeline and post a one-pager in #leadership.
- @Dash research these 10 prospects and draft personalized openers.
- @Dash review the open PR on the auth refactor and flag anything risky.
For anything that sends, posts, or writes externally, Dash will ask for approval before doing it.
